Community Partner:
Equitas Health is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving LGBTQ+ individuals, people living with HIV, and underserved communities across Ohio. It prioritizes Whole Person Healthcare by offering patient-centered services such as primary care, HIV treatment, PrEP access, mental health services, substance use recovery, gender-affirming care, dental services, and pharmacy support. On a community level, they also provide educational opportunities to health providers who want to be more inclusive in their own practices and a large network of groups where people can find strength in community. Equitas prioritizes programs that promote health equity, harm reduction, and survivor support, aiming to deliver accessible, inclusive care for all. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with them this year!
About Caroline

Born and raised in Westlake, OH (near Cleveland), I headed to Indiana for college at the University of Notre Dame before happily returning to my home state for medical school. I’ve loved exploring Cincinnati’s beautiful parks—whether biking, running, hiking, or paddling—and eating my way through the incredible neighborhoods. Participating in the Service and Advocacy elective is important to me to continue to engage with, learn about, and serve various underserved communities in Cincinnati. This will help build my skills as I embark on a career in Family & Community Medicine. I envision myself as a primary care provider who not only knows my community members by name but also finds creative ways to bring people together through movement classes, cooking workshops, and mindfulness groups—all with the goal of helping everyone live healthier, happier lives.
