About Nadia
My name is Nadia Alam and I am a fourth year medical student at the University of Cincinnati. I have been so honored to learn the art of medicine in my home community and continue to serve my neighbors over the last several years. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati and subsequently completed a Masters in Social Work at the University of Michigan. Community based work is integral to my life and central to how I hope to practice medicine in the future. I love being immersed within community values and working with my neighbors to empower from within.
I am thrilled to be part of the Service and Advocacy Elective this year to continue building on my love for this community and finding new avenues to serve. I look forward to immersing myself in advocacy based work and learn new skills on how to build sustainable programming. I plan to pursue Internal Medicine with the hope of working in community based medicine in the future.
